Careers at The OCD Relief Clinic

At The OCD Relief Clinic, we are intentionally building a workplace that values ethical care, clinical excellence, sustainability, and humanity for both clients and clinicians.

We are a women and queer-owned specialty mental health practice focused on evidence-based treatment for OCD and related disorders. Our team is small by design. We prioritize depth over volume, structure over chaos, and support over burnout.

While we may not always have open positions, we welcome interest from clinicians and childcare professionals who feel aligned with our mission and approach.

Our Team Philosophy

We believe:

  • Specialized care requires specialized training

  • Clinicians deserve support, consultation, and clear expectations

  • Burnout is not a badge of honor

  • Structure and compassion can coexist

  • Access to care includes supporting families, not just individuals

We are thoughtful about growth and add roles intentionally as the clinic expands.

Why We’re Different as an Employer

At The OCD Relief Clinic, we are intentional about how we practice and how we build a team. We don’t aim to be the biggest clinic, we aim to be a sustainable one.

Here’s what sets us apart:

We Practice True Specialty Care

OCD treatment is not generalized therapy with a new label. Our clinicians are trained to use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and other evidence-based approaches with fidelity and care. We believe clients deserve more than reassurance or unstructured talk therapy and clinicians deserve training that actually works.

We Support Ongoing Clinical Growth

We expect curiosity and humility, not perfection.

Clinicians at our clinic are supported through:

  • Ongoing training and consultation

  • A collaborative team culture

  • Space to ask questions and deepen skills

  • Leadership that values feedback and ethical decision-making

You don’t have to “already know everything” to belong here.

We Value Sustainability Over Burnout

We intentionally avoid:

  • Productivity-at-all-costs models

  • High-volume, low-acuity caseloads

  • Pressure to overextend or “push through”

Instead, we prioritize:

  • Thoughtful scheduling

  • Reasonable caseloads

  • Time for consultation and learning

  • Work-life balance that’s actually respected

Burnout is not a rite of passage here.

We Believe Access to Care Includes Supporting Families

Our on-site childcare program exists because we understand that therapy, and providing therapy, often requires practical support. We are intentional about removing barriers for both clients and staff whenever possible.

We Are Values-Driven, Not Volume-Driven

We care deeply about:

  • Ethical treatment

  • Clear expectations

  • Follow-through and accountability

  • Respect for clinicians as professionals and humans

We are selective in who joins our team because culture matters and we protect it carefully.

Clinical Team Roles: Mental Health Therapists

Our therapists specialize in treating OCD and related disorders using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and other evidence-based interventions.

What This Role Typically Involves

Providing individual and group therapy for OCD and anxiety-related conditions

Using ERP as a primary intervention, supported by CBT and skills-based approaches

Working with children (ages 5+), adolescents, and adults

Developing structured, individualized treatment plans

Tracking progress and outcomes

Collaborating with a supportive clinical team

Participating in training, consultation, and continued learning

ERP experience is helpful, but not required to join our clinical team.

We value curiosity, humility, and a willingness to learn evidence-based care.

Who Thrives in This Role

This role is a good fit for clinicians who:

  • Value structure and clarity in treatment

  • Want to specialize in OCD and anxiety disorders

  • Appreciate consultation and feedback

  • Care about doing therapy ethically and intentionally

  • Want a sustainable caseload rather than high-volume burnout

This Role Is Likely Not a Good Fit If

  • You prefer primarily unstructured or supportive talk therapy

  • You are not interested in using ERP as a core intervention

  • You prefer minimal consultation or independent practice without feedback

  • You are seeking exclusively remote or high-volume work

We believe naming this upfront creates healthier professional relationships.

Support Team Roles: Childcare Providers

Access to mental health care often depends on practical support. That’s why we offer on-site childcare for both clinic staff and clients receiving services.

Our childcare program is:

Calm and relational

Low-volume and intentionally designed

Focused on safety, regulation, and emotional attunement

Integrated into a mental health setting (not a traditional daycare)

What This Role Typically Involves

  • Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for infants and young children

  • Supporting a calm, nurturing environment

  • Engaging children in age-appropriate play and routines

  • Following clinic policies related to safety, hygiene, confidentiality, and professionalism

  • Communicating respectfully with caregivers and clinic staff

  • Adapting flexibly to changing needs and schedules

Childcare roles at our clinic require comfort working within a mental health environment and maintaining appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.

Who Thrives in This Role

This role is a great fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys meaningful, relational childcare

  • Is calm, reliable, and emotionally attuned

  • Values flexibility and low-hour schedules

  • Appreciates being part of a mission-driven healthcare setting

  • Understands that needs may vary week to week

Our Commitment to Inclusion

We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and strive to create a workplace where people of all backgrounds and identities feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
